Are you pregnant and you are getting ready for the maternity clinic or are you looking for a gift for a mum-to-be? Stop by Dimore, we’ve got you covered!

The waiting period until the arrival of the baby is probably one of the best and most beautiful of your life! Plan ahead and get ready with our practical advice and ideas.

Bra:Usually your bra size changes during pregnancy. Your breasts grow in preparation for your baby’s arrival and you will need a bigger cup size than the one you normally wear. Also, the majority of women want to feel comfortable during a pregnancy especially when it comes to the band under the bust. For a relaxed fit and to avoid any discomfort, the size of the under bust band will most likely have to change too. Things to lookout for when choosing the right bra: Your breasts are growing so it is good to have some extra space – always depending on the term you are in – so that you can wear it after giving birth as well. A lot of women choose a breastfeeding bra and wear both during the pregnancy and after the baby is born. Either you plan on breastfeeding or you want to wear a lace push-up bra, make sure you feel comfortable all through the pregnancy. Click here to see our suggestions!

Underwear: Your body is changing, your belly is growing and you need underwear that can accommodate all these changes! Opt for a low-rise brief with soft waistband and bare your bump or choose a brief that covers the belly. Discover what you like best and come and get it! Dimore Tip! Stock up on some affordable cotton underwear for the first days at the clinic, since you will be changing underwear more frequently.

Nightdress ή pj’s?It’s a dilemma! Choosing between the two usually comes down to whether you are having a C-section or natural birth. In the first case, a nightdress is the way to go and in the latter case pj’s! But it all depends on what you feel most comfortable in and your personal style. Cotton fabric is the best choice if you want something loose and comfy while satin is a more sophisticated and elegant choice.

Dimore Tip! Do not invest in a garment that is very warm, even if it is winter time, because in the clinic the temperature is usally warmer. A dressing gown is always a good idea! You can put it on when you have visitors or when you walk around in the clinic. If you are planning to breastfeed it is better to choose either strappy clothing so that you can lower it when you breastfeed or clothing with buttons (low placket) or with a zip – and yes, they do exist! Tights: It all comes down to preference, just as with the briefs, do you want to show off your bare bump or not? The most important thing is to choose tights with soft waistband that are not too tight, to avoid any discomfort. The same applies for leggings, seamless leggings will definitely be more suitable and comfortable for you. Click here to see our suggestions:

Lastly, a pair of flip-flops might be useful during your stay at the clinic, even if you give birth in winter and you already have your slippers ready! Flip-flops might come in handy in case you will be sharing a room and… the shower!
